Capycourt Terms of Use

Last updated: 30 October 2026

These terms apply when you install or use the Capycourt app, made by Curtis Lam ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. What Capycourt is

Capycourt is a free app that helps club organisers run social racket-sport club nights: checking players in, suggesting balanced games and keeping simple records. How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy.

2. Licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for running your club. You may not copy, sell, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app, or use it to do anything unlawful.

3. Organisers' responsibilities

If you set up a club in Capycourt you are responsible for:

4. Backups

Capycourt can back up club data to your own Google Drive. Backups are encrypted with a passphrase that only you hold. We cannot recover a lost passphrase or read your backups. You are responsible for keeping the passphrase safe and for checking that backups work. Use of Google Drive is also subject to Google's own terms.

5. Game suggestions

Game suggestions and ratings are a guide only. The organiser and players decide who plays. We make no promise that suggestions will be fair, balanced or suitable for any particular player.

6. Availability and changes

The app is provided free of charge. We may change, suspend or stop it, or add paid features in future, and will try to give notice of any significant change. Anything you already have for free will not become paid without notice.

7. No warranty and limit of liability

The app is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we do not promise that it will be error-free or always available, and we are not liable for loss of data, loss of a club night, or other indirect losses arising from using it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

8. Ending use

You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may stop your access if you break these terms.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, unless local consumer law gives you other rights.
